How we work

Every engagement starts with best practices and ends with evidence of what changed.

  1. Understand the need

We assess community and organizational needs through research, data and consultation with the people closest to the issue.

  2. Design and deliver

We build programs, training and technical assistance grounded in proven practices and tailored to local context.

  3. Evaluate and improve

We measure results with rigorous methods and use the findings to strengthen services and inform policy.

“Any project that helps our citizens to interface more safely and effectively with the police, and also strives to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement, will be most beneficial to society.”
Nick J. Mosby, former Councilman, District 7, Baltimore City Council, in a letter of support for GMRT’s Effective Interface with Law Enforcement project
